Background
Established in 1995 as a strategic partnership among prestigious Chinese and international financial institutions and corporations, China International Capital Corporation Ltd (CICC) is the first joint venture investment bank in China and has a registered capital of US$125 million. CICC¡¯s business has been expanding since its incorporation. Today its core business departments include Investment banking, Capital Markets, Sales & trading, Research, Fixed Income, Asset Management and Private Equity. These core businesses are enhanced by internal risk control and information technology systems as well as other supporting departments.
Maintaining the functionality of enterprise¡¯s operational systems is one of the main concerns of CICC. Various operation teams and IT professionals have been employed to ensure the protection and stability of the operational systems. However, relying on manual operations to protect the reliability of systems cannot meet CICC¡¯s actual needs. With the vast amount of equipments, it is difficult to identify, isolate and resolve the root problem effectively.

NetGain EM ¨C Effects of implementation
The implementation of NetGain EM in CICC Beijing Headquarters and Hong Kong Branch, created a unified monitoring of the all the equipments. Operation personnel can monitor the systems that they are responsible for through EM topology view. This results in time-saving as it reduces the need for hands-on inspection of the equipments. EM also provided more accurate reports than those from manual operations previously.
Using EM operational view, administrators can monitor the linkages of CICC¡¯s entire operational system. They can also detect areas potential breakdowns through the usage of monitoring data. This helps to act as a powerful basis for strengthening the operational system.

NetGain EM, a product offered by NetGain Systems, has effectively provided CICC with a centralized monitoring management platform. In Beijing and Hong Kong, it successfully maintained system functionality, and reduced workload of operational personnel.
